Motion Designer (NYC)

The Adspace Mall Network (http://www.adspacenetworks.com/) is looking for a
talented motion designer in the New York City area.

Working under the EVP of Marketing and with the Creative Director, this
individual will be an in-house designer of :15-second commercials to be placed
on the Adspace Mall Network. The commercials are effectively animated posters
that can incorporate both still and moving elements.
Responsibilities will include:

_ Designing and animating advertising from start to finish for local and
national advertisers

_ Designing and animating content for internal purposes

_ Developing spec spots for the sales team to convince potential advertisers to
come on board

_ Being able to design and animate with limited creative assets. Clients often
bring in print ads to be animated. Imagination is always required.

_ Contacting client contacts when there are production questions

_ Working in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment

Qualifications:

_ College graduate with significant coursework in graphic design and/or
animation(preferably both) and an understanding of standards for broadcast
design.

_ A developed sense and interest in women’s fashion is desirable

_ Expert in Photoshop and Illustrator

_ 2+ years of After Effects

_ Experience with mixing audio and sound design

_ Experience with Flash a plus

_ Strong knowledge of typography

_ Comprehensive understanding of MPEG encoding

_ Can work on both PC or Mac platforms

_ Comfortable juggling multiple projects at once

_ Organized and can handle aggressive timelines

_ Quick leaner able to adapt to changing formats using different systems and
applications

business, displaying digital video content on a network of 60 inch plasma
displays placed in the common areas of shopping malls. With 500 plasma screens
