Koichiro Tsujikawa

Born 1972. His working career began as a designer designing record covers in 1993. In 1997 his love of music continued as he directed visuals for on stage production at live performances. He then got into promotional videos for Cornelius, Fumiya Fujii, UA, and commercials.

Heavy Backpack featured an article on much of Koichiro Tsujikawa’s work previously here, but I just had to find out more about the Japanese director in the interview following.

Public Transport Patterns

Now here’s a Flickr Set dedicated to the patterns found on public transport. Just lovely. I can remember staring at these fabric coverings on rainy train trips home wondering the story of the designer in charge creating the patterns.

Heavy Backpack Happy New Year 2007

In all my excitement to start posting again in the new year, I totally forgot to wish everyone a happy one. So a big thank you for your contributions over the past year, thanks for your comments and contact. It’s helped to make the backpack a much more richer space.

Thanks for sticking with us through the transition from an old school portal to a new jack blog, and a big hello to all the new readers we picked up along the way, as the transition has helped us to triple our viewers.

I hope your craft improves, and your ideas flow. I hope you reach your goals for 2007. I hope your plans work out, but also hope you experience many happy accidents too.

all the best. Rhett

Apple iPhone

iphone-apple.jpgThis is the latest product form Apple which went official only an hour before this posting, which is why I’m am posting, because we’re one of the first on the scene otherwise I wouldn’t have bothered because every single other blog on earth will no doubt pick it up in the next few hours too. “iPhone combines three products — a revolutionary mobile phone, a widescreen iPod with touch controls, and a breakthrough Internet communications device — into one small and lightweight handheld device.”
